ELCA
Outreach We
encourage our households to use their monthly special offering
envelopes in support of God’s work through the ELCA and the Grand Canyon
Synod.
Domestic
Disaster Donations may be designated for the ELCA Domestic Disaster fund to provide relief for the victims
of domestic disasters.
World
Outreach Our vision for a Medical Clinic to be built in Dr. Sam
Koppula’s hometown, Uppalapadu, India is underway. Dr's. Sam and Moreen are overseeing
this project. It is being funded through the Hoganson bequest and member
contributions. Construction began on September 12, 2005.
We have also identified a project in India as a Lutheran World Relief
mission target. This will be funded through the Hoganson global bequest.
This project is in the state of Jharkhand and focuses on empowering tribal
women. LWR, in partnership with a local grassroots organization, SPAA,
works with impoverished tribal and dalit women seeking to improve their
standard of living.
We are looking forward to cultivating a relationship between our
congregation and the target communities in India.

A Rewarding Way to Share Your Time
“Volunteer”
is the key word when one talks about VICaP Faith in Action goals! Our
congregation partners with this exciting 110-congregation-strong
partnership. A VICaP Volunteer
is one who takes a few hours (each week or month) to help a homebound and/or
disabled adult continue to live independently. You can be a VICaP Faith in
Action Volunteer
in 2005! For more information or to register,
please contact VICaP, a program of Beatitudes Center D.O.A.R., at 602-285-0543.
