We are privileged to have one of the finest pipe organ
installations
in the state of Arizona. The contract for the instrument was awarded
to the M.P. Möller company of Hagerstown, Maryland in 1961 for the sum of
$52,900 and was installed simultaneously with the construction of the church,
and completed in 1964. The inaugural concert was given by Sue
Lombardi,
organist of Ascension at that time. The cost to replace the organ today
would
be over $250,000.

The
Phoenix-Scottsdale area has many fine pipe organs and this is another of the
great instruments by MÖLLER. This
particular instrument has been selected again and again by the foremost
musicians for presenting musical programs of special significance including
frequent use with symphony orchestras and choral groups.

fine MÖLLER organs nearby are at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Scottsdale
and Christ Church of the Ascension, Paradise Valley.
