Pentecost
Sunday at Ascension

It
was a glorious day at Ascension, celebrating Pentecost Sunday. The
church was bathed in red, red banners, red spotlighting, the
congregation was wearing red, and the Pentecost flame burning high. |
Scriptures
were read in three languages

The
message of all people, which was Acts 2, verses 1 to 16, was read in three
languages, symbolizing the miracle of the disciples speaking in such a way
that people of all languages could understand them. It was a day of
celebrating the feast of the Holy Spirit.

Following
the initial Sunday worship experience, the entire congregation moved to
the Memorial Garden, where acknowledgement and respect was given to
those members who have passed on to God's kingdom. |

Yes,
it was another beautiful day, a day of sharing God's love with others at
Ascension Lutheran Church. Praise be to God. |
