We carefully plant and nurture seeds
in the spring to become the beautiful flowers of the summer. It is our goal at
Ascension Lutheran Preschool to nurture and to start the seed of learning in
each individual child so that they may develop into a mature flower of tomorrow.
The purpose of the preschool is to
serve as an arm of the educational ministry of the church. It will offer the
young child an opportunity to grow, to learn and to develop physically,
spiritually, socially, and intellectually.
We look forward to working with
parents in this exciting adventure of nurturing and watching our children grow.

The Preschool is regulated by the Arizona Department of Health
Services. Inspection reports
are available upon request.
Registration:
Registrations for all 3
to 5 year olds for the 2011-2012 school year are currently being accepted.
Enrollment:
All children accepted into the preschool program should be three years old or
four years old by September 1st. All children must be toilet trained.
Preschool Program:
The emphasis of the preschool is on learning through the use of learning
centers. In these centers children will engage in numerous and varied learning
experiences or activities. Each class will also have quiet time, outside
discovery, snack time, structured class time and learning centers. Bible
stories, songs and games will be incorporated into the preschool study units.
School Schedule:
Our preschool schedule, with some minor adjustments, will follow the Scottsdale
School calendar. You will receive a monthly calendar with the activities
scheduled for that month.
Snack:
A
nutritious snack will be provided through our parent participation snack
program. Snack suggestions are
posted above snack calendar.
Parent Participation:
Parent involvement is encouraged.
You may want to share with us a hobby, game, or story or help out in the
classroom, and assist with parties and special events. We will welcome your
input and involvement. Arrangements should be made in advance.
Parents will participate in our program as classroom volunteers.

Tuition:
$235* monthly for 3 days.
Four
Year Old/Pre-K Classes - 3 days weekly
Mon./Wed./Fri.

for 3 days
The three year old class is limited to
16 students, and the four/Pre-K class is limited to 18 students. Each class has
one teacher and an assistant.
Registration Fee,
Tuition, and Late Charge:
There will be a $125.00 non-refundable
registration fee along with a one month non-refundable tuition payment are due at the time of registration.
The
registration fee includes registration processing, supplies and insurance.
Tuition is due the first
day of each month beginning September
1st through April 1st. There will
be a late charge of $10.00* after the 10th of the month. Tuition rates are based
upon an annual budget sufficient to meet the operating expenses of a
high-quality program, and to make the preschool self-supporting. The monthly tuition is payable regardless of the number of
days that the child actually attends the class or holidays during the month.

Withdrawal Policy:
If your child will be leaving
Ascension Lutheran Preschool we require that you give a 30 day written notice.
This will help us in our attempt to meet the needs of the families on our
waiting list.
Extended Day Program:
An extended day will be offered every day, until 2 p.m. for the children
attending class that day. There is an $15.00* additional fee for the extended
day. Parents provide a nutritious sack lunch for their child.
